ANTARTE Golf Cup 2025

The fifth edition of the Antarte Golf Cup returned to the greens of Estela Golf Club, in Póvoa do Varzim. Magnificent summer days remain a constant feature of the tournament.

The 2025 edition once again welcomed dozens of golfers selected from Antarte’s circle of friends. One of the distinctive features of this tournament is the presence of Antarte furniture pieces across various points of the greens, allowing participants to admire the brand’s timeless design.

After the competition, as is tradition in every edition, a glamorous sunset event took place with live music and the presence of a very special guest: the brand-new Qura wines. Recently launched in Rosé and White variants, these Douro wines, described as “a lifestyle manifesto”, provided the perfect setting for guests to enjoy the magnificent coastal scenery of Estela.

The trophy ceremony was hosted by Jorge Gabriel. A highlight of the Antarte Golf Cup 2025 was the brand’s international projection, acting as a true ambassador of Portuguese carpentry worldwide. In recent months, Antarte has expanded its global projects, including the creation of the armchair used by Pope Francis during his visit to Timor-Leste.

Antarte also produced more than 40 furniture pieces for the Portugal Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. These pieces were designed by the renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, who also authored the pavilion project, and were crafted using materials and production techniques that honor the ancestral knowledge of Portuguese carpentry. The table designed to hold the guestbook is a true sculpture, composed of 177 pieces of national ash wood, hand-turned over more than 200 hours, weighing over 100 kilograms.
